Sentiment analysis is a processing of natural language for analysing context, deeper conversations as they apply to theme, brand or topic. Klout is a social media analytics mobile app which rate users according to Klout score and has numerical value between 1 to 100. Klout used Twitter, you tube, Facebook, Instagram, Facebook and Four square data to create user profiles which were assigned unique ’Klout score’. Range of the Klout score is from 1 to 100, higher score corresponds higher ranking on social media influence.
Influence of klout was measured using data points from Twitter, such as retweets, membership lists, follower count, dead/spam account of an individual, the people who retweet were how unique and influential. All this data and information is combined with other social networks for calculating the Klout score. Social networks that influence Klout’s score were LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, you tube and Wikipedia. Accounts such as: Bing, blogger, word press were also linked by users, although till 2013 they didn’t have any weightage in Klout score. Microsoft later announced, where Bing would have ingress to klout technology and klout can access to Bing data search for scoring its algorithm.
Klout scores have majorly three specific measures, ‘Network Impact’, ‘amplification’ and ‘True search’. Network impact reflects engaged audience, amplification score generates comments, likes, mentions and retweets. True reach is based on users who are actively engaged in user’s message.
